The Lumineers announce 2019 UK arena tour
Pre-order the band's new album for presale access.
US folk rockers The Lumineers have confirmed details of their upcoming 2019 UK arena tour.
The tour kicks off in Glasgow on the 22 November 2019, before taking in shows in Manchester and London.
The newly announced gigs will be in support of the band’s highly anticipated third studio album III, due for release on 13 September 2019 via Decca Records.
Formed in Denver, Colorado, The Lumineers broke into the mainstream with their eponymous debut album in 2012. The record broke into the top 10 on the Official UK Albums chart and earned the group two nominations at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
The self-titled debut spawned the singles Submarines, Stubborn Love and the huge radio hit Ho Hey. The song has been streamed over 450 million times on Spotify and the official music video for the track has been viewed over 200 million times. Check out the visuals for Ho Hey below:
The band followed up the release of their debut with the 2016 album Cleopatra. A hit with critics as well as the music buying public, the album debuted at No.1 on the charts in both the US and UK. The album contains the singles Angela, Cleopatra, Gale Song, Sleep on the Floor and Ophelia.
Following the release of their second record, the band hit the road on the Cleopatra World Tour. The UK leg of the tour saw the band sell out two nights at London’s prestigious Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, as well as performing at Glastonbury Festival.
The folk rockers are currently gearing up for the release of their third album III. The record, due for release on 13 September 2019 will feature the lead single Gloria. Take a listen to the new single below:
The band are set to perform on the opening episode of the new series of The Graham Norton Show, airing on BBC One on Friday 5 April 2019.
The Lumineers return to the UK in November to perform new songs from III alongside tracks from their first two hit records.
