The 1975 have confirmed that Ticketmaster New For 2020 pick beabadoobee will be joining them on their UK arena tour.

beabadoobee is currently touring across the US with Clairo before returning to the UK for the Dirty Hit UK winter tour.

The news comes as beabadoobee unveils two new Spotify Singles, a live version of She Plays Bass from her Space Cadet EP, and a cover of Simple Minds’ Don’t You (Forget About Me).

The 1975 run celebrates the band’s forthcoming new album Notes on a Conditional Form, due for release on 21 February 2020.

The foursome have released three singles from the new LP so far, album opener The 1975 featuring narration from climate activist Greta Thunberg, the thunderous People, and latest single Frail State of Mind.

This summer the band headlined the world-famous Reading and Leeds Festivals for the first time, with frontman Matty Healy describing the shows on stage as “the biggest moment of all our lives”.

They also performed single People live for the first time at the gigs. Watch below:

Notes on a Conditional Form will be the band’s fourth full-length album release and is the follow-up to 2018’s hugely successful A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships.

The album, which contains the singles Give Yourself a Try, Love It If We Made It, TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME, Sincerity Is Scary and It’s Not Living (If It’s Not with You) debuted at No.1 on the Official UK Albums Chart.

Formed in 2002, The 1975 consists of Matt Healy, Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald and George Daniel. The band’s name comes from a Beat-era book Healy was given at a yard sale. At the bottom of some wild scribblings, he noticed the date “1st June, The 1975”, and it stuck with him.

Following the release of their first EP Facedown in 2012, the quartet built up a huge following before releasing their self-titled debut album the following year.

The band’s second album, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, came out in 2016 and yielded a trio of hits with Love Me, The Sound and Somebody Else.

The 1975 will hit the road in winter 2020 for a full UK tour in support of their fourth album Notes on a Conditional Form.
