Sum 41 will headline the Kerrang Tour! 2016 – full ticket details

Sum 41 will head up the Kerrang! Tour 2016, with the Canadian pop-punkers said to be ‘more excited than ever’ to return to the UK.

The genre heroes have been relatively quiet since frontman Deryck Whibley injured his back on tour, but this announcement doubles as the band’s big comeback to our shores. Hurrah.

“Spirits in the band are so high right now!” Deryck told Kerrang!, “We’ve been gone for so long, and I’ve been through so much personally, and that’s led us to a place where we’re more excited than ever, and we can’t wait to share that with you guys! It was horrible having to cancel those shows – I hate cancelling anything – and more so because of my stupid back!”

“After a three-year break, we’re honoured that our first tour back is the Kerrang! Tour in the UK,” he added. “We’ve been locked away in the studio making the new Sum 41 record, which will be out later in the year [2016].” Read the full interview in the latest issue of Kerrang! magazine.
