Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers confirmed for BluesFest 2017
Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers are the first two artists confirmed for BluesFest 2017 at London’s O2.
BluesFest is set to return to London’s O2 from Friday 27 – Sunday 29 October 2017. Making the most of the full O2 Arena and Indigo at The O2, the event has now confirmed Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers are the first names for the bill.
Donald Fagen and Walter Becker’s supergroup Steely Dan will make their first appearance in the UK for almost ten years, closing the festival on Sunday 29 October as their only UK appearance of 2017.
For this exclusive concert they will be joined on the bill by legendary, multi Grammy-winning soul and R&B hitmakers The Doobie Brothers.
Since starting in 2011, BluesFest has welcome the likes of BB King, Van Morrison, Robert Plant, Bobby Womack, Gregory Porter, Elvis Costello and more.
“It’s a real coup for BluesFest to be presenting Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers at this year’s festival – they rarely perform in the UK and are two bands who have influenced so many artists from across the musical spectrum,” says BluesFest Director Leo Green. “This will be Steely Dan’s first UK show since 2009 and, on an incredible double bill that also includes The Doobie Brothers, we’re hoping that fans of quality music will be as excited about this first announcement as we are.”
Tickets go on general sale from 10:00 on Friday 12 May 2017 through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
