Steel Panther announce February 2020 UK tour
Watch the band play This or That ahead of new album Heavy Metal Rules.
Los Angeles heavy metallers Steel Panther will come to the UK on tour next year.
The new run of dates kicks off in Bristol on Wednesday 5 February 2020, before heading to London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Newcastle.
The band are currently days away from the release of their highly anticipated fifth studio album Heavy Metal Rules.
Due to drop on Friday 27 September 2019, the LP was produced by frequent collaborator Jay Ruston and recorded in bass player Lexxi’s mum’s garage.
“What Jay got out of the record sonically is our best”, Steel Panther drummer Stix comments, adding “There are hooks all over it. It’s the perfect Steel Panther album”.
A throwback to the heydays of rock excess, the new album promises to fly the flag for anti-pc behaviour. This is demonstrated on the record’s lead single, All I Wanna Do Is F**K (Myself Tonight). Check out the official video for the track below:
The new album is preceded by 2017’s Lower The Bar, 2014’s All You Can Eat, 2011’s Balls Out and 2009’s Feel The Steel.
Known for their high energy, guitar solo laden tracks, some of the band’s most popular songs include Gloryhole, Death To All But Metal, Fat Girl, Community Property and Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World.
A frequent visitor to UK shores over the past decade, Steel Panther have built a reputation for their wild live shows that are as notorious for what they say in-between their songs as the songs themselves.
The band are such a fan of UK audiences that they chose London to record their first live DVD. Their well-received British Invasion release was recorded at O2 Academy Brixton back in 2010.
Steel Panther will return to the UK early next year, for a run of dates in support of new album Heavy Metal Rules.
Here are the dates:
5 February 2020 – O2 Academy Bristol
7 February 2020 – O2 Academy Brixton, London
8 February 2020 – O2 Academy Birmingham
9 February 2020 – O2 Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
11 February 2020 – O2 Academy Glasgow
12 February 2020 – O2 Academy Newcastle
