Here's what fans need to know about the series of shows, taking place in London this month.
London’s Camden Assembly will once again kick off their calendar of gigs with Spotlight Festival.
Taking over the North London venue across January 2020, Spotlight Festival is a series of shows that showcase some of the best rising musical talent the UK has to offer.
Spotlight features line-ups that have been hand-picked by some of the music industry’s foremost tastemakers, including leading talent agency Freetrade Agency, music discovery platform Beumu, Neighbourhood Festival and live music promoters Close Up Promotions and Live Nation.
Among the dates is a Ticketmaster New Music showcase, taking place on Friday 17 January 2020 and welcoming performances by Social Contract, Alex Francis, and ST LUNA. Discover more about each of the three artists on the bill below.
Spotlight Festival will launch on Thursday 16 January 2020, and run through until the 31 January 2020.
Social Contract, Alex Francis and ST LUNA will all take to the stage at London’s Camden Assembly on Friday 17 January 2020.
London-based Social Contract have been making waves over the past two years with their politically charged brand of indie rock. Fronted by Telford born singer Josh Eggerton, the band dropped their debut EP Common Tounge in the summer via Beatnik Records, receiving praise from DIY and Little Indie Blogs.
The upcoming band have drawn favourable comparisons to the likes of Future Islands and Bombay Bicycle Club.
ST LUNA is the stage name of Luke Adams, a South Coast musician who blends his wide range of influences to create highly engaging pop music, lovingly crafted in his bedroom.
The musician released his debut EP Wanderlust in December, performing a debut sold out London show at The Grace to celebrate.
Alex Francis is a singer-songwriter who’s seen his latest single Desire championed by the likes of BBC Radio 2, Spotify and Apple Music.
Last summer he released his debut EP Foundations, a collection of acoustic covers of classics pop tracks such as Hall & Oates’ You Make My Dreams and The Miracles‘ You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me, and the musician recently supported his brother James Bay at The London Palladium.
