The Duke of Sussex will be attending the Sentebale Audi Concert, taking place in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace on Tuesday 11 June 2019.
The event will raise funds for Sentebale, the charity started by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso to support young people affected by HIV and AIDS in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi.
The concert will host live performances by singer-songwriter Rita Ora, as well as acclaimed spoken word artist and Sentebale ambassador George The Poet.
Performing to an audience of 3,000, they’ll be joined by Prince Seeiso and two of Sentebale’s Let Youth Lead advocates, Rethabile Sereba and Sekgabo Seselamurumo.
The line-up will also welcome the Mark Baldwin OBE created Zulu ballet INALA featuring the Soweto Gospel Choir, and Lesotho musician Morena Lebara.
“We’re delighted that Prince Seeiso and some of our advocacy champions will be joining some of the biggest global performers to help Sentebale deliver a sustainable, quality programme for children and young people affected by HIV, enabling them to lead healthy, happy and productive lives,” says Richard Miller, the Chief Executive of Sentebale.
The charity has grown its efforts over the past ten years, now also addressing the mental health and wellbeing of 10 – 19 year olds living with HIV in Botswana. Among its other work, Sentebale offers a safe space for young people in countries where HIV and AIDS remain the leading cause of death.
Funds raised from the event will go to support the continued work by the charity.
Rita Ora and George The Poet will perform at the event, attended by both Sentebale founders Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and Prince Seeiso.
