Rolling Stones have added extra dates in Southampton and Coventry to their tour, now playing eight UK shows this summer as well as touring through Ireland, France, Germany, Czech Republic and Poland.

Tickets for the new dates go on general sale at 09:00 on Thursday 15 March 2018, but fans can grab Platinum tickets now through Ticketmaster.co.uk.

The tour marks the second part of the Stones – No Filter tour, and will see Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood continue their sold-out European run of last year.

The new dates see them coming to Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium on 29 May 2018 and Coventry’s Ricoh Stadium on 2 June 2018.

Fans will be treated to iconic rock songs such as Satisfaction, Paint It Black, Jumpin Jack Flesh, Tubling Dice, Doom & Gloom and Brown Sugar.

Each night will also include random track selections from the band’s huge catalogue of music, with 30 studio albums to their name alongside a collection of live recordings, compilations and EPs.

“It’s such a joy to play with this band there’s no stopping us, we’re only just getting started really,” says Keith Richards.

Mick Jagger adds of the live dates: “This part of the No Filter tour is really special for the Stones. We are looking forward to getting back onstage in the summer and playing to fans in the UK and Ireland. It’s always exhilarating going to cities we haven’t played for quite awhile.”

Rock’n’roll legends The Rolling Stones last played the UK in the summer of 2013, headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival, and two shows at London’s Hyde Park playing to a sold-out crowd of 65,000 fans.

The Rolling Stones recently released their Grammy Award winning Blue & Lonesome, over fifty years since the release of their self-titled debut. Following the release of their debut, Rolling Stones have reached the Top 10 in both the UK and US album charts with each of their studio albums.

“The Stones audience is the glue that keeps us together,” says Charlie Watts. “The best and most satisfying moment is when you are reaching the end of the show and they are all going nuts.”

Ronnie Wood, who recently presented Ed Sheeran with the Global Success Award at the BRITs, adds: “When I look out at the sea of people when we play all I can see is smiles. It’s heart-warming and I’m glad we make people happy. Music makes me happy, and it makes them happy…. its infectious.”
