Rex Orange County – 10/10 (A Take Away Show by La Blogothèque)

Rex Orange County first broke through in 2016 with his debut record bcos u will never be free, which was self-released on Soundcloud.

Shortly after the release of the album, Tyler, The Creator reached out to the UK-based artist on Soundcloud, flying him out to Los Angeles to collaborate. The sessions resulted in Rex Orange Country co-writing and contributing vocals to the tracks Boredom and Foreword on Tyler’s fourth studio album Flower Boy.

Inspired, Rex turned to make his own album proper, 2017’s Apricot Princess.  A No.2 slot on the prestigious BBC’s Sound Of 2018 followed.

Containing the singles Untitled and Never Enough, Apricot Princess was well received by critics, with The Guardian, NME and Pitchfork all praising the release.

In June 2019 the musician performed at Glastonbury, drawing a huge crowd to the festival’s Park Stage.
