Coldplay’s stunning Wembley Stadium run is a sell-out success

One of the biggest bands in the world, Coldplay, are back bigger than ever with their first all-stadium tour, and four sold-out dates at Wembley Stadium.

The moment we have been waiting for is here!

It’s been four long years since Coldplay last did a large scale tour; so we are excited…very excited, and it’s not raining…bonus! We don our special light-up Xylobands (wristbands) and take our place ready to party among the 80,000 strong crowd. Support from rockers Reef and Singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas has us hyped, before Coldplay fans from around the world introduce them to rapturous cheers.

It’s a rainbow bright spectacular

From the off its clear it’s going to be a show to remember and fireworks are already firing from the stage during first song, A Head Full of Dreams. The audience have gone all out with the colourful theme and we can spot flower garlands, neon glasses and even painted bald heads! Chris Martin is bounding up and down the stage walkway with such relentless energy that he is already sweating one song in. Consider us impressed!

The best setlist yet

The show takes us through all of their biggest hits; from Viva La Vida, which has the crowd singing like a football chant, to a glittering, confetti-filled A Sky Full of Stars. They really haven’t missed any of our favourites out, which is rare for a band with such an extensive back-catalogue.

‘Thanks for liking us’

Towards the end of the show Chris takes a moment to thank the audience for their support, and for “liking” them, before the pitch area is filled with multi-coloured bouncing balloons, and the sounds of Adventure of a Lifetime. We are fascinated by the glowing wristbands that change colour and flash in time to the music. As the sun sets above the stadium, the colour only becomes more vivid, and the crowd is united by lights during Fix You.
