Blogger Flick Heath picks eight of the sets you just can’t miss at Bestival 2015…
Bestival has pulled it out the bag with their headliners (Missy Elliott, Duran Duran and The Chemical Brothers), so I’ve delved into the rest of the line-up below.
Lianne La Havas
Rich, soul-warming vocals, Lianne La Havas will cure your inevitable festival hangover as soon as her music hits your ears.
Without doubt, Krafty Kuts will have you raving – just listen to this mini mix he released recently. A Skillz will be there too, so I think we can be sure to expect a collab between the two.
Who said summer was over? Fickle Friends are a Brighton-based five-piece with synth beats smooth enough to make it feel like a sunny day, even if it’s pouring with rain (which we hope it won’t be!).
Every festival weekend needs down time, and Seafret are the perfect duo for that. Jack and Harry are the perfect combo – like strawberries and cream, bangers and mash, bacon and eggs… you see where I’m going with this?
Etherwood creates a dreamy fusion between energy-filled drum & bass, and more relaxed beats. If you don’t recognise the name, I can’t recommend you check out his set enough.
Mark Ronson; producer, singer, songwriter, DJ… does the list ever end? This is where you’ll want to be for chart-toppers, potential unexpected celeb collaborations, and non-stop feel good music.
THE JACKSONS. Need I say more? From ABC to Can You Feel It, the sing-a-longs and routine dance moves will feel like they’ll never end.
New York Brass Band
I accidentally discovered these guys at about 2am at Bestival last year… they appeared from nowhere and within minutes there were hundreds of people dancing and singing along, it resulted in a very long but hilarious conga line. This video from Parklife shows the kind of atmosphere they create perfectly.
