Pixies announce UK tour
Pixies have announced details of a short UK tour in November, with new bassist Kim Shattuck. The former Pandoras/The Muffs bass player replaces Kim Deal, who left the band two weeks ago.
The band will play the O2 Apollo Manchester on November 21, Glasgow Barrowlands on November 22 and Hammersmith Apollo, London on November 24. Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am tomorrow via Ticketmaster.
Pixies frontman, Black Francis, said of the dates: ‘Along with everyone’s favorites, we’ll be playing songs that we haven’t played in ages or never played live before.
“We’ve probably rehearsed some eighty songs,” said Black Francis, “so we’ll be able to change up the set at the last minute if we feel like it. We’re all really looking forward to this tour.”
