One Direction top the public vote to win our Best Live Act Award at the O2 Silver Clef Awards.

The votes have been counted and the results are in! Striding past some of the best performers in live music, One Direction, at today’s O2 Silver Clef Awards, will pick up the esteemed Ticketmaster Best Live Act award.

This was a truly public vote, since the it was the fans on twitter and that visited the Nordoff Robbins website who voted resulting on the boys gathering around 60% of the total vote.

There was stiff competition and particular nod should go out to Little Mix, whose fans rose to the occasion with a healthy competitive spirit to give Directioners a run for their money. Muse, known for some of the most inventive arena shows in the business, also attracted a huge amount of votes as did Bring Me The Horizon.

On their win, One Direction said: “Thank you to all our fans for voting! Our live show is so important and it is amazing for this to be recognised by winning the Ticketmaster Best Live Act Award for the second time.”

Previous winners of the Best Live Act Award include Artic Monkeys (2015), Justin Timberlake (2014), One Direction (2013), McFly (2012) and Sir Paul McCartney (2011).

The O2 Silver Clef Awards are brought together by Nordoff Robbins, a music therapy charity. Find out more about them here.
