Line-up revealed for ONBlackheath festival
Jamiroquai and Grace Jones will headline the 2019 event.
The first acts for this year’s ONBlackheath have been announced, coming to South London in July 2019.
Jamiroquai will headline the main stage on Saturday 13 July 2019, making an exclusive appearance in the UK. The band, fronted by the iconic J.K, bring together ’70s soul and funk sounds, with three UK No.1 albums to their name alongside a host of awards.
On Sunday 14 July 2019, Grace Jones will top the main stage bill, bringing with her songs from her four decade-long career taken from hit albums such as Warm Leatherette, Living My Life and Nightclubbing. Influencing the likes of Lady Gaga and Rihanna, Grace Jones celebrates a pop influence like no other.
The line-up will also welcome hip-hop pioneers The Roots, million-selling soul sensation Rag’n’Bone Man, as multi-platinum soul singer James Morrison.
UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro will take to the festival on Sunday 14 July 2019, as will Morcheeba, who make their return after a five-year hiatus. The Sunday line-up announcement is rounded off by reggae success Aswad and jazz pioneers Brand New Heavies.
Saturday 13 July 2019 will also see performances by Grammy Award winning multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier and Back To Life creators Soul II Soul.
Today’s announcement is completed by British duo Swing Out Sister, and jazz-funk collective Incognito.
As well as a plethora of family entertainment – including the appearance of children’s TV stars and family friendly comedy – ONBlackheath will also welcome Street Feast, who will offer a taste of their world-famous food and drink market.
