London’s iconic venue has announced the sale of its 15 millionth ticket, which was booked for Olly Murs’ headline show in May. Amazing.

Since opening in 2007, The O2 has been crowned the world’s number one venue every consecutive year based on ticket sales alone.

The likes of Beyoncé, Take That and The Rolling Stones have headlined the arena in the last 8 years, alongside comedy from Michael McIntyre and Monty Python.

The O2 sold over 2 million tickets in 2014, with 1.8 million of them being recorded for music events.

Of the 9 million people who visited the venue in those 12 months in total, 67,325 burgers were bought, with 17,477 pizzas, 49,105 portions of chips and 13,551 burritos.

280,462 pints of beer were served – 14,832 of which were poured at the Premier League Darts – and Dolly Parton fans accounted for 830 bottles of wine.
