Having already announced a headline show at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on 8 December 2018, Birmingham rock and roll legends Ocean Colour Scene have added a further four dates to their Christmas run.

The Christmas Shows will now kick off on Friday 30 November at Manchester’s Albert Hall, running through to the O2 Academy in Birmingham on Friday 14 December.

The dates celebrate twenty years as a band, with nine albums under their belt. Ocean Colour Scene released their self-titled debut in 1992, before hitting the top 5 in the UK album chart in 1996 with Moseley Shoals. Subsequent albums Marchin’ Already and One From The Modern also climbed towards the top of the charts. Their 1997 release knocked Oasis’ What’s The Story Morning Glory off the top spot to take the crown.

They dominated the singles charts in the mid-90s with a run of nine top 20 singles from 1996’s Riverboat Song onwards. Their most recent album, Painting, was released in 2013.

A couple of years back Ocean Colour Scene sold out The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, as well as two nights at Leeds’ Millennium Square playing to over twelve thousand fans.

They are now set to return for live shows in late November and December 2018, bringing with them stateside Motown heroes Martha Reeves & The Vandellas.

Here are those Christmas dates in full:

5 December 2018 – O2 Academy, Leeds
8 December 2018 – The SSE Hydro, Glasgow
9 December 2018 – O2 Academy, Newcastle
