Nicki Minaj is said to be reworking her sound for fourth album
Word has it Nicki Minaj has moved her focus back to the world of pop music for album four.
The outspoken songstress likes to remain unusually sheepish on the topic of her new work but that hasn’t stopped American producer London On Da Track giving fans some clues of what’s to come.
Talking about Minaj’s follow up to 2014’s PinkPrint, he told Complex, “I just got out of the studio with Nicki – we’ve done about three or four records.”
Adding, “These are more singing records than rap. They’re crossover.
“It gives me a chance to show my other side. People only know me for that club signature sound, but I really play keys and I’m a musician – I’ve been doing it for a long time.”
This follows news that a handful of new tracks registered in Nicki Minaj’s name earlier this year, including Don’t Want Your Love, which she is said to have recorded with Wayne Hector and RedOne – the same team who wrote her 2012 smash hit Starships.
