Welsh rock pioneers Funeral For A Friend, pop superstar Ellie Goulding and Liverpool’s Echo And The Bunnymen have announced new shows this week, alongside Oxford singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis and stateside experimental pop maker John Grant.

Funeral For A Friend have confirmed a very special comeback tour, seeing them perform tracks from their first three acclaimed albums across seven dates.

Kicking off with a headline show in Wales’ capital on Saturday 17 April 2021, the setlist promises choice cuts from their 2003 debut Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation, 2005’s Hours, and 2007’s Tales Don’t Tell Themselves.

The band, fronted by Matthew Davies-Kreye, made their initial return in October of last year raising money for the family of their departed friend. The newly announced dates mark the band’s first live shows outside of the three reunion shows in 2019.

Ellie Goulding has confirmed a run of comparably intimate dates, taking to the UK and Ireland in May 2021. The shows come in support of her imminent new album Brightest Blue, due for release on 17 July 2020 through Polydor Records.

The tour will see Ellie take to smaller spaces than she is used to, including London’s Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.

Goulding has released a number of tracks from the album to date, including Worry About Me and Power. She most recently unveiled Slow Grenade alongside celebrated rising pop star Lauv.

The band most recently released their thirteenth studio album – The Stars, The Ocean & The Moon – in October 2018.

Oxford singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis has announced a run of dates, including a triumphant show at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 27 May 2021.

Rhys has shot to fame with a handful of releases, including his breakthrough hit No Right To Love You. He unveils his anticipated debut full-length Things I Chose To Remember on Friday 10 July 2020.

American singer-songwriter and all-round experimentalist John Grant has also added an extra London date to his UK tour, now appearing at Alexandra Palace on Thursday 18 March 2021.
