Clearly the owners of a storming pop record collection, Youth Club could very well be the soundtrack to your best summer ever. For a flavour of what these guys get up to in their down-time, check out the teaser for the EP “Brother” which came out towards the end of last year…
The guys hail from the sun-drenched coast of Southend-on-Sea, which is also the home to other TicketWeb faves Nothing But Thieves as well indie royalty The Horrors and the exquisite These New Puritans. Good company to keep, but Youth Club have a sound that is all their own. Can you imagine the sound of a super group comprised of members from Haim & Vampire Weekend, with Nile Rodgers thrown in for good measure? That’s the vibe. Incredible pop hooks and head-bobbing beats. Funk is not a dirty word, people.
