All you need to know about Paolo Nutini’s tiny show

He'll be headlining Paisley's Spree Festival in October.

Paolo Nutini will be playing a one-off tiny show at Paisley Abbey in support of the town’s bid to become the UK City of Culture in 2021. He will headline the town’s annual Spree Festival on Friday 20 October, with a limited capacity of 550 fans.

Paolo and his band will be joined by a nine-piece string section in the 850 year old Abbey. The limited number of tickets to this special event will be available via an online ballot only, with 100 reserved for Renfrewshire community groups who may otherwise not be able to afford to attend the show.

Proceeds from the show will go to The Love Street Singers, Mirren Park School, The Kibble Band, the Sunshine Recovery Cafe, and some of the town’s Syrian refugee children.

“Paolo’s support has been absolutely instrumental to Paisley’s UK City of Culture 2021 bid and we are utterly thrilled he is playing this gig –it will be spectacular and we cannot wait,” Paisley 2021 bid director Jean Cameron said.

“It is wonderful to see him helping us realise the bid’s aim to open up the benefits of culture to everybody in the town by supporting local charities and deprived communities.”
