Mumford & Sons treated New York fans to a heavy slice of new music last night, as they played a huge chuck of their upcoming album at a tiny club show.
Announcing their gig at the Poisson Rouge just a few hours beforehand, tickets for the 700-capacity venue were snapped up immediately.
Tracks from the quartet’s third album, Wilder Mind, included Cold Arms (which they also played at two recent London gigs), Believe, Hot Gate, Only Love and Snake Eyes.
Wilder Mind will be released on 4 May, and is the follow up to 2009’s Sigh No More and 2012’s Babel.
Mumford & Sons will also headline Reading and Leeds Festival 2015, alongside Metallica and The Libertines.
Reading and Leeds Festival takes place 28 – 30 August 2015, tickets are on sale now. Head to Ticketmaster.co.uk/reading-leeds-festival-2015 for more info.
