We check in with the band following the announcement:
You’ve just announced new Europe and UK dates, including that huge KOKO show, how’re you feeling about it?
“We honestly couldn’t be more excited. We feel so lucky to be playing the rooms we are playing and to get to travel to the places we are going to. KOKO will be by far the biggest headline show that we have done and we can’t believe that we get to do it. It’s a dream to headline that venue.”
How has this current UK tour got you back in the swing of life on the road?
“It has been fantastic. We had a little while off before the tour so we just practiced as much as we could. As soon as we played the first show on this run it felt like we had never been away. The shows have been so much fun. We love touring so we just make the most of every moment.”
We’re loving new track, Honey! What’s the reaction been like online?
“It has been amazing. It is always nerve-racking putting out new music but we were all just so excited to start getting this record out. Everyone has been so lovely so far and we couldn’t be more grateful for all of the kind words.”
How have you worked new songs into the set before the album release?
“We spent a little bit of time really planning out the set for this run and fitting new songs in felt really natural. We played around with a few different songs from the record and we stuck with two that we felt fitted the set best.”
We’ve also seen fans saying how much your stage presence has grown on this tour, is that something you feel in yourselves?
“We have toured so much in the past year and a half, and we have just become far more comfortable playing together as a band. A bunch of the songs have been a part of our set for a while now so confidence just comes with time and practice. We love playing shows in this band and hopefully that comes across in our live show.”
