Minimasters head to the Family Jazz All-Stars and meet the stars of the show

Following a sell-out year in 2015, Family Jazz All-Stars returned this month to deliver an unmissable show for the whole family.

Including songs from jazz throughout the years, the show promised to be perfect for all the family, so we sent Jazz novices (but Minimaster superstars) Alice and Sophie down to the show to check out the EFG London Jazz Festival and listen to the show.

Taking place at London’s stunning Cadogan Hall, singer Zoe Gilby led the charge with her captivating style in this fun-filled tribute to jazz singers past and present.

Zoe shared the stage with a line-up of highly accomplished jazz musicians, including innovative double bassist Andy Champion.

Here’s what Alice and Sophie made of the show:

“We had a great time at Zoe’s concert for the EFG London Jazz Festival 2016.

“Her performance was very captivating and it was really great listening to Jazz music for the first time.

“It was really cool because Zoe also sang well-known songs like I Wanna Be Like You from The Jungle Book, which made the music more accessible. She even managed to get the audience to interact too and we did a fun quiz about instruments and songs as well.”

After the show, Alice and Sophie even got to meet Zoe and talk more about jazz music. “We’d definitely recommend going to see one of Zoe’s shows! She’ll have you swinging your hips and all-night-long!

“We can’t wait to listen to more jazz music! Thanks, Minimaster!”
