Meet the BBC Introducing bands at Reading and Leeds
36 more bands have been added to the festival's line-up.
As if the Reading and Leeds Festival line-up wasn’t already huge, 36 more bands have now been added as part of the event’s commitment to new music. Once again teaming up with BBC Introducing, an exciting platform for emerging talent across the UK, Reading and Leeds have announced 12 more bands for each date of the three day festival.
Announced on BBC Radio 1 through Huw Stephens earlier this week, the list includes appearances by the likes of Pale Waves, Low Island and Ider. All bands join the bulging line-up, with the Main Stage topped by Kasabian, Eminem and Muse.
It’s further proof again of the festival’s wide appeal, bringing together established and new artists from across various genres and styles. The BBC Introducing Stage will also, as ever, host a number of surprise appearances by some of the biggest artists on the bill.
BBC Introducing have supported the likes of Slaves, The 1975, George Ezra, and Florence And The Machine. Many bands playing the Reading and Leeds stage have gone on to graduate to some of the biggest platforms in both fields.
“Reading and Leeds is a huge deal for music fans and playing it is an even bigger deal,” says Stephens. “BBC Music Introducing is a really exciting part of the festival now, showcasing new talent that’s breaking through and championed by the shows that nominate them to play. You will see something new and awesome every time you stop by!”
Your new favourite band could easily await, so check out each of the 36 new bands below, and celebrate new music with us.
