Mary J. Blige and Maxwell to co-headline King and Queen of Hearts world tour
Mary J. Blige and Maxwell have announced details of a co-headliner world tour, stopping in the UK this October.
Touring together for the first time ever, the King and Queen of Hearts World Tour will see the duo play in Birmingham and Manchester, as well as a London date as part of BluesFest.
Maxwell’s blackSUMMERS’night was released on 1 July via Columbia Records, and is already being talked of as one of the most acclaimed albums of 2016. This will also be the two-time Grammy winner’s first European tour in SEVEN years.
Maxwell says, “Mary is the epitome of soul. She embodies all that is woman and speaks for the everyday struggle and triumphs of all women. I can’t wait to get on the road with her.”
Meanwhile, Mary J. Blige has sold over 50 million albums worldwide while winning nine Grammy Awards and five American Music Awards.
The superstar songstress also has a new album on its way.
Mary J. Blige says, “Maxwell’s music is amazingly soulful and calm with a colourful tone that speaks to the hearts of women. His music makes them feel loved and I’m excited to get on the road with him.”
