Laura Mvula joins Tom Odell at special Shard show for Global Citizen
Laura Mvula will join Tom Odell at the Shard this Thursday in support of Global Citizen.
In association with CHIME FOR CHANGE founded by Gucci, Global Citizen will host a unique gig at the top of the iconic London venue.
The intimate show takes place tomorrow (7 July) and will be streaming live, so if you missed out on tickets, simply head to their Facebook page to see the live stream from 20:30.
The night of inspiring speakers and intimate music will be led by Tom Odell and Laura Mvula, who join the fight for every girl’s right to learn.
Globally 63 million girls are out of school, half of whom are adolescents. Young girls today are the leaders of tomorrow but too often they are denied the chance to take control of their future, simply because they cannot go to school.
This July, in partnership with the UK Government, Global Citizen and CHIME FOR CHANGE will convene governments, businesses and world leaders to agree a concrete plan of action to ensure that every girl has a quality education.
So far, Global Citizens have taken more than 85,000 actions to help rally key decision makers to support the plan and take the first crucial steps towards its implementation. We’re hoping to see incredible impact from decision-makers from the rooftop of one of London’s most iconic buildings.
