Kendrick Lamar to headline Glasglow Summer Sessions

The international Grammy Award-winning rapper will make his Scottish outdoor show debut on 29 August.

Glasgow Summer Sessions is returning to Bellahouston Park in 2018 and topping the bill is one of the defining hip hop artists of our generation – Kendrick Lamar!

In its five-year history, the festival has brought the biggest and best artists in the world to Glasgow. Lamar, who will headline Glasgow Summer Sessions on 29 August, is following in the footsteps of Eminem, Biffy Clyro and Calvin Harris, to name just a few acts.

Lamar is the definition of visionary. With five Grammy Awards to his name, the hip hop artist is a massively exciting performer who balances the roles of songwriter, rapper and producer with ease. Last weekend he delivered a highly acclaimed performance to a sold-out audience in Scotland at The SSE Hydro.

The Compton singer broke onto the scene with his 2012 debut album Good Kid, m.A.A.d City. Now Lamar’s fourth album, 2017’s DAMN., has taken him to new heights. It picked up a whopping four of his five Grammys at the 2018 ceremony – including Best Rap Album and Best Music Video as well as Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for HUMBLE.

Don’t miss Lamar’s set at Glasgow Summer Sessions as this will be your chance to see the rapper at the very top of his game.

Tickets for Glasgow Summer Sessions are available by presale from 09:00 Thursday 15 February and go on general sale at 09:00 on Friday 16 February via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
