Kelvingrove Park hosts new Glasgow festival
Glasgow’s historic bandstand in Kelvingrove Park is to host a brand new annual music festival. Magners Summer Nights will run across two weekends in August (7-10 and 14 – 16) with a stunning line-up including Alison Moyet, The Waterboys, Steve Earle, Squeeze, Capercaillie and Glasgow’s very own Teenage Fanclub.
The line-up is as follows:
- Thursday 7 August – Steve Earle
- Friday 8 August – The Waterboys
- Saturday 9 August – Alison Moyet
- Thursday 14 August – Capercaillie
- Friday 15 August – Teenage Fanclub
- Saturday 16 August – Squeeze
Magners Summer Nights are the first major events to be announced at the 2,500 capacity bandstand since its £2million refurbishment. Located in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park in the heart of the city’s West End the bandstand sits between some of the city’s most stunning buildings – Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Art Gallery.
