Kasabian have announced a very special one-off show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton next month.

The Leicester four-piece, who released their sixth studio album, For Crying Out Loud back in 2017, and completed an arena tour this past December, will perform at the intimate London venue on Thursday 23 August 2018.

The band, who have won several awards over the years including several NME awards, Q Awards and a Brit Award for Best Group performed four dates at the O2 Kentish Town Forum in July 2017, as well as headlining Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival and Reading & Leeds Festival that same year.

This special date in London follows the last of their 2018 European festival dates, before the band head to South America in September.

Kasabian – made up of Tom Meighan, Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Edwards and Ian Matthews –  released their self-titled studio album in 2004 and gained popularity for their catchy tunes, including Club Foot, LSF and Processed Beats, and drew comparisons to several brit-pop and indie bands including Stone Roses, Oasis and Primal Scream. The band followed up their debut with Empire in 2006, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum in 2009, Velociraptor! (2011), 48:13 (2014) and For Crying Out Loud (2017) which spawned other fan-favourite singles including Empire, Fire and Where Did All The Love Go.
