Debuting at No.1 on the Official UK Albums Chart, the record was written and produced by Jeff Lynne, who also played all the instruments on the album,

From Out Of Nowhere was lauded by critics including The Guardian’s Michael Mann, who enthused “what a pleasure it is to have Lynne back”.

Formerly known as Electric Light Orchestra, Jeff Lynne’s ELO was formed in Birmingham in 1970 by songwriters Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood, alongside drummer Bev Bevan.

The group would enjoy huge success during their initial tenure, selling over 50 million albums across the globe and release the hit tracks Hold On Tight, Last Train To London, Evil Woman, Wild West Hero, Livin’ Thing and My Blue Sky, before disbanding in 1986.

The result was the 2015 LP Alone in the Universe, the band’s first new material in 15 years, which dropped in November 2015 and was followed by a sold-out arena tour the following year.
