Interview: Sundara Karma discuss their progression

The band speak about their new album backstage at TRNSMT Festival.

Sundara Karma are in a good place right now.

It’s festival season and the band are doing what they do best: playing shows across the world and winning over new fans the old fashioned way. It’s an environment they seem to thrive in.

The band also have a brand new album out, breathing new life into their sets by giving them a whole bunch of new songs to play.

Released back in March, Ulfilas’ Alphabet is the Reading indie rockers sophomore release, following their hugely admired breakthrough LP Youth Is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect. 

Featuring the singles Illusions, One Last Night on This Earth, Higher States and Little Smart Houses, the new album received rave reviews from the likes of Dork, NME and DIY, praising the band’s ambitious leap forward.

In the middle of a run of European festival appearances, the band to discuss the new album and how they’ve evolved as a group.
