Imelda May announces UK tour

Imelda May will return to the road in May 2017, in support of her eagerly awaited new album.

Her new record, Life, Love, Flesh, Blood – due for release in March 2017 – promises to show Imelda May in a new light. Produced by T Bone Burnett and featuring guest appearances by guitarist Jeff Beck and pianist Jools Holland, the album sees her explore blues, soul, gospel, folk, rock, acoustic and balladry.

“I always loved the Fifties rockabilly style but there was a point where I felt I was almost dressing up as Imelda May,” she says of her evolution. “It was as if I was getting into character for a gig. And I didn’t want to do that anymore. This is me. I’m so proud of this album and can’t wait to bring it out on the road to you.”

Set to showcase new and old material, May will be joined by her biggest band to date, including new musicians alongside her longtime players.
