The acts will join headliners and curators Madness on the August Bank Holiday.
More artists have been announced for this year’s House Of Common.
The one day event will return in August 2019, with Madness once again topping the bill.
It’s now been announced that Jerry Dammers, International Teachers of Pop and Horn Division have joined the line-up.
Celebrating their 40th anniversary, 2019’s House Of Common will see Madness go XL as they return for huge summer shows, release a new career-spanning autobiography and head to the studio to work on brand new music.
Pitching up at Clapham Common on Monday 26 August 2019, the ska legends will be joined by a host of very special guests, and invite hordes of fans old and new to rub shoulders on the Common in the summer sun.
Madness will be joined by very special guest Jimmy Cliff, plus Ziggy Marley, David Rodigan, Horace Andy, Akala, Craig Charles, Jah9, Children of Zeus, Don Letts, Papa Face and Chris Peckings, Jerry Dammers, International Teachers of Pop, The Kingdom Choir and Horn Division.
“40 years at the coal face of modern popular culture. Man and boy. Dedicated to the purveyance of popular music of quality and distinction to the people. Dedicated in our selfless quest to have the nation singing, dancing and making merry through some of the darkest times of the last four decades.
Join us! Raise your glasses, lower your swords ‘arise sir madness!’ Get stuck in!”
The band are also set to release an autobiography, Before We Was We, in September 2019, telling the story of how seven unlikely lads have become one of the most successful British Pop bands of all time.
This year’s celebrations mark the latest stop in the iconic British band’s four-decade career.
Following on from 2016’s Can’t Touch Us Now, which became the band’s tenth UK top 10 album, racing though gold status in the UK and carrying rave reviews. They have continued to sell more tickets and play more festivals than they can remember, including the main stage at Glastonbury.
Suggs also took his one-man What a King Cnut stand-up show around the country throughout 2018, and his life story was also brought to the big screen by legendary documentary maker Julian Temple. Fellow madness member Lee Thompson also brought his cinematic documentary One Man’s Madness to UK cinemas.
Here is that date:
