Find out about Download’s improvements on The Dog Blog

Download Festival organisers have taken improvement suggestions from fans, and are making some changes.

As detailed on their Dog Blog, Download Festival organisers have revealed some of the changes they are making to the festival and its site to make the rock experience all the more special.

Some of the changes aim to combat the unavoidable issue of weather. “Clearly the experience for everyone last year was not good after the rain,” the blog notes, before adding that “this year we have relocated some of toilets to allow better access from existing roads and we’ll be introducing new roads where needed. This will not only allow access for vehicles but will improve conditions underfoot for people walking through the campsite when it is wet.”

It’s just one of a load of changes the festival will be making to improve your trip to the alternative dreamland. Security has been improved, as well as travel and access. There’s even the promise of some “groundbreaking” ideas to improve that all-important journey to and from the event. Keep your eyes peeled for that one.

The Download Dog Squad will also be on hand to make everything easier over the actual weekend, from car parks to campsites and the arena itself.

It’s all set to build on an already brilliant weekend, which this year boasts headliners System of a Down, Biffy Clyro and Aerosmith, as well as a host of the best and brightest from the world of rock, metal and punk.
