Erykah Badu announces exclusive London show
For the first time in five years, soul-queen Erykah Badu returns to the UK for a very special show.
For one night only, London will be graced with one of soul music’s foremost visionaries. Hailed as one of the world’s most incredible singer-songwriters, Erykah Badu’s voice draws comparisons to Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and, in particular, Billie Holiday. This is one artist who will never stop surprising us, musically or otherwise.
The Queen of Neo-soul, Erykah Badu is a multi Grammy Award winner with an outstanding career spanning over 20 years. This year she celebrates the 20th year anniversary of her debut album Baduizm with a performance at London’s Eventim Apollo on the 6 July 2017.
At the 1998 Grammy Awards, Baduizm won Best R&B album and On & On won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. The album was produced by Massenburg and also featured members of the Roots on several tracks.
Erykah Badu’s London show promises to be one not to be missed.
