Elbow announce huge spring 2020 UK tour
Their new album Giants Of All Sizes is due for release this October.
Manchester indie heroes Elbow have confirmed details of a huge UK tour.
The 21-date run will kick off in Belfast on Sunday 29 March 2019 and will also see the band headline shows in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Hull, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Cardiff, Plymouth, Portsmouth. Leicester, Brighton, Bournemouth and London.
The tour, which will see the band visit certain cities for the first time in over a decade, is in support of their highly anticipated eighth studio album Giants Of All Sizes.
The new album is due for release on 11 October 2019 and has so far been preceded by two singles, Dexter & Sinister and Empires. Check out the official video for the latter track below:
Elbow first broke through in 2001 with their debut album Asleep In The Back, and have followed the release with 2003’s Cast Of Thousands, 2005’s Leaders Of The Free World, 2008’s The Seldom Seen Kid, 2011’s Build A Rocket Boys!, 2014’s The Take Off And Landing Of Everything and 2017’s Little Fictions. The latter two albums topped the Official UK Albums Chart on release.
Some of their best-known tracks include Golden Slumbers, Open Arms, Fallen Angel, Grounds For Divorce, Not A Job and the singalong anthem One Day Like This.
Elbow have spent much of the past summer on tour across Europe, performing at festivals such as Forbidden Fruit, Y Not, Pinkpop, The Big Feastival and Manchester International Festival.
The group will hit the road for a full UK tour next spring in support of their new album Giants Of All Sizes.
