Download becomes first festival to launch its own beer
It’s official, Download has just become the first festival to launch its own brand of beer.
Dogtooth (that’s their cleverly-named tipple) will be available on site this year. Hurrah.
As well as that, they’ve added even more bands to next month’s line-up. InMe, The Dirty Youth, The Franklys, Santa Cruz and Witchsorrow will join Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden.
PLUS, a host of entertainment, stalls, food, drink and more have been confirmed for the legendary Download Village.
The Village will include The Side Splitter Stage, playing host to huge shows featuring hilarious stand-ups, circus performers and musical comedy from Rob Deering, JollyBoat, Andrew O’Neill, Bethany Black and many more. Download’s resident tattooists, Old Sarum will be back and ready to ink the masses, for those who want a more permanent memento of their weekend.
Also in the Download Village this year is the new Circus of Horrors touring show, The Never-ending Nightmare.
Bogan Bingo are bringing their ‘Bingo with Balls’ live comedy gameshow with mullets, mayhem and massive prizes to The Download Village, while The Mayflower Project marquee – a unique space designed exclusively for teenagers – includes workshops, jam sessions, face painting, tee shirt art, graffiti and more.
Back in the Arena at Download Festival is the popular Demolition Download. Fresh from their successes in the World Full Contact Medieval Fighting Championships, the British national team Battle Heritage will fight it out for your pleasure.
Download Festival 2016 takes place at Donington Park between 10 – 12 June. A limited amount of tickets are still available, book now at Ticketmaster.co.uk/download.
