Innovative dance group Diversity have confirmed details of a brand new tour.

The Connected tour kicks off at the Waterside Theatre, Aylesbury on Friday 19 March 2021, running across the UK throughout April and May.

The new tour centres around the world of social media, the internet, and the digital era we live in, and how it connects us all.

Creator and choreographer Ashley Banjo comments: “Every year that goes by, and every time we get to create a new touring show, I cannot believe we are still lucky enough to get to do this. But even after all this time, we are still growing, and this new decade and new chapter for Diversity is sure to be something even more special than the last. I truly do believe that we are all connected in more ways than one and I cannot wait to bring this to life on stage.”

Formed in East London in 2007 by lead dancer and choreographer Banjo, Diversity came to widespread public attention when they auditioned for the ITV talent show Britain’s Got Talent in 2009. Their first audition was a huge success, and the group were given three yesses from judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan. After progressing through the semi-final, the group won the final of Britain’s Got Talent, beating off stiff competition from Susan Boyle in front of a TV audience of over 17million viewers.

Since winning Britain’s Got Talent, Diversity’s career has gone stratospheric. They’ve danced for royalty at the Royal Variety Performance, for the prime minister outside 10 Downing Street, took part in the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games in 2014 and performed to over 6000,000 fans.

A force to be reckoned with live, the dance group have completed nine sell-out UK tours so far. Their latest tour, Born Ready – The 10 Year Anniversary Tour, saw Diversity celebrate their ten years in existence, captivating fans all throughout the UK and receiving rave reviews.
