The new tour includes a huge date at The O2, London.
It’s been almost 20 years since Craig David first burst on the music scene, and since then, he has become a RnB and garage legend with tracks like What’s Your Flava and Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta). After taking a well-deserved break, he made his eagerly awaited comeback in 2015, and is still climbing the charts today.
Rita Ora is currently one of the biggest names in pop right now. With her latest single, Girls, a collaboration with Cardi B, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX making waves and her second album almost upon us, Ora’s popularity is set to continue to soar.
Now these two huge stars are joining forces for two joint shows at Kent Event Centre on Friday 31 August 2018 and Northamptonshire The County Ground on Saturday 1 September 2018, here’s six of our favourite tracks fans might hear at their shows.
Craig David – When The Bassline Drops
Craig David made an epic musical comeback with the release of his garage song When The Bassline Drops, which features grime MC Big Narstie. It was his first single in six years and was the lead single from Following My Intuition, his sixth album. The track peaked at No. 10 in the Official Singles Chart.
Rita Ora – Your Song
Your Song is the lead single from Ora’s imminent second album. The song peaked at No.7 in the UK, making this track her ninth top ten UK single. It also was a hit around the world, reaching within the top 20 in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Netherlands and more.
Craig David – Fill Me In
Fill Me In is David’s debut single which went straight at the top of the UK singles charts in 2000, and peaked at number 15 in the Billboard Hot 100 the following year. The song won a MOBO Award for Best UK Single of the Year and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
Rita Ora – Lonely Together
Lonely Together is Ora’s collaboration with late DJ Avicii released in 2017 and peaked at No. 4 on the UK Singles chart. The song is said to have inspired her next single, Anywhere, as they both have very similar guitar melodies. The song received two MTV Video nominations – Best Dance Video and Best Visual Effects.
Craig David – 7 Days
David’s biggest hit worldwide to date is 7 Days, which claimed the number one spot in the UK as well as No.10 in the US charts. The song was nominated for an array of awards including a Brit Award for Best Single and a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. The song tells the tale about seducing a woman over the course of one week and has cemented itself as a noughies classic.
Rita Ora – How We Do (Party)
Pop and RnB song How We Do was Rita’s second single in the UK, but was the lead single from her debut album across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The song claimed the top spot in the UK, selling over 100,000 copies. In 2012, she became the first artist to get three No.1 singles in the chart, after her hits Hot Right Now and R.I.P.
