Courteeners set to play huge hometown show with special guests
The Charlatans, Blossoms and Cabbage join the Courteeners for the biggest show of their career at Emirates Old Trafford on 27 May 2017.
Following on from their Heaton Park show (all 25,000 tickets sold out in an hour) and their record-breaking seven-night run at Manchester O2 Apollo, the band will play a 50,000-capacity hometown gig at Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford (home of Lancashire County Cricket Club) on Saturday 27 May 2017. The news comes just ahead of the release of the Courteeners’ fifth album, Mapping The Rendezvous, out 28 October.
Joining the group at Emirates Old Trafford Manchester are English indie rockers The Charlatans, 2016 breakthrough artists Blossoms and Manchester-based post-punk five-piece Cabbage.
The Courteeners’ new album was produced by the band’s regular collaborator Joe Cross. Mapping the Rendezvous is the band’s boldest and best album to date – a hugely confident and supremely hook-heavy collection of songs by one of the UK’s biggest rock’n’roll bands. The album features the tracks The 17th, No One Will Replace Us and Kitchen.
Tickets for the homecoming show are on sale from 09:00 Friday 21 October via Ticketmaster.co.uk.
