Chic featuring Nile Rodgers will headline at this year’s BluesFest, taking to London’s O2 on Friday 27 October 2017.

The show forms part of the wider festival, which also sees Daryl Hall and John Oates play on Saturday 28 October, and Steely Dan plus special guests the Doobie Brothers on Sunday 29 October.

Chic featuring Nile Rodgers played a storming set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival over the weekend, and are set to repeat the magic come October.

The disco veterans have a whole wealth of hits under their belt, not least 1978’s Le Freak and 1979’s Good Times.

In 2015, Nile Rodgers announced he’d be releasing his first album with Chic in more than two decades, unveiling new track I’ll Be There.

“Securing bands of the caliber of Chic, Gov’t Mule and Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band is testament to our commitment to presenting the very best acts from around the world,” says BluesFest director Leo Green. “These are three phenomenal live outfits who will all bring something extra special to the weekend’s proceedings.”
