Busted announce Natives as support on UK tour

Set to hit the road across the UK next year, Busted have announced that New Forest four piece Natives will be joining them.

Natives recently unveiled their new track, Passion, taken from their forthcoming album. It’s heavily influenced by West African culture, earning them the “tribal pop” title.

Passion was the first song we wrote for this album, although it lived in an almost-finished state for over two years,” guitarist Jack Fairbrother explained to Clash when premiering the track. “The main synth line and vocal melodies have remained the same, but in the later recording sessions we pushed the track towards a more ‘live band’ feel by dialling back some of the electronics and adding more live percussion tracks and the guitalele.

“The song tells a specific part of our overall album narrative, but the general theme is about the nervous feeling you get when faced with sharing things close to your heart. It’s about wanting to know that someone will care about something as much as you do.”

The band shared the news on their Facebook page, simply adding: “This is gonna be fun…”

Busted tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
