Bruno Mars announced for Rock in Rio – Lisboa 2018
The festival will take place in the Portuguese capital from the 23 - 30 June 2018.
One of the headliners for the eight edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa has been confirmed. Bruno Mars will lead proceedings on the 24 June 2018, the second night of the four show event.
The multiple GRAMMY Award winner is the first act to be confirmed for the festival, which will move to a new location for increased stages and spaces.
Bruno Mars will take to the Main Stage of the City of Rock, the second time that the singer, songwriter, producer and musician will play at Rock in Rio, having previously played the Las Vegas event.
Rock in Rio calls various cities home. As well as Portugal’s capital, events have also historically taken place in Rio De Janeiro, Madrid and Las Vegas. A celebration of music, previous outings in Lisbon have included headline performances by Bruce Springsteen, Queen + Adam Lambert, The Rolling Stones, and Justin Timberlake.
Organisers have announced early bird tickets which includes, for the first time, weekend tickets for the first two days (23 – 24 June 2018).
Rock in Rio Lisboa will take place on the 23, 24, 29 and 30 June 2018 with different artists across each date. This year will see doors open at midday, running until 2AM.
The festival will now also house the Pop District, home to pop culture and its icons, as well as the Digital Stage; dedicated to digital phenomenon merging the online and offline worlds. Gourmet Square will offer a new food plaza. Rock Street Africa will host unmatched performances and artistic expressions, giving the public a chance to interact directly with the art.
