Having been forced to postpone his shows earlier this year, Bon Iver (the musical project by multi-instrumentalist Justin Vernon) has announced a four date residency at London’s Hammersmith Apollo in February 2018.

The announcement comes as the indie-folk pioneer plays three shows in Blackpool and Edinburgh, celebrating in the UK the release of his most recent album, 22, A Million.

The four dates will kick off on the 21 February 2018, with shows also scheduled for the 22, 25 and 26 February.

22, A Million, his third studio album, saw Vernon further embrace his experimental side, merging styles on tracks such as 22 (OVER S∞∞N, and 33 “GOD.

Bon Iver released his iconic breakthrough debut For Emma, Forever Ago in February 2008, building an instant cult fanbase. This record was famously recorded in Wisconsin, where Justin Vernon sought isolation following a breakup.

Follow-up Bon Iver, Bon Iver introduced his cross-genre music stylings, welcoming electronic sounds into the fold and spreading his wings by collaborating with hip-hop artists. Working with Kanye West, the rapper has since declared Bon Iver his favourite living artist.

The four UK dates are likely to see Bon Iver showcase his broad range of music, from the stripped back Wisconsin inspired folk sounds of For Emma, Forever Ago, to the unique experimentation of latest album 22, A Million.

Here are those four London dates:

21 February 2018 – Hammersmith Apollo, London
22 February 2018 – Hammersmith Apollo, London
25 February 2018 – Hammersmith Apollo, London
26 February 2018 – Hammersmith Apollo, London
