BluesFest prepares to take over The O2 this July
BluesFest in partnership with American Express® returns to The O2 this October with performances from Bad Company, Richie Sambora, Van Morrison, Jeff Beck.
A very special Bill Wyman 80th Birthday Gala concert is also planned, featuring a host of special guests including Mark Knopfler, Bob Geldof, Imelda May and Mick Hucknall.
The biggest stars from the worlds of blues, rock and soul will descend on the iconic London complex across 28 – 30 October 2016, occupying the IndigoO2, Brooklyn Bowl AND the main, 20,000-capacity arena.
Amazing, eh?
With American Express on board, 2016 is set to continue the rapid growth of BluesFest as one of the most popular events for all things blues, rock and soul.
Festival Director, Leo Green, says: “Last year’s BluesFest, which marked the first time a blues festival had been held at The O2, was a resounding success. This year we’ve looked to build on that success and to deliver a bigger, better event that showcases the captivating diversity of blues, soul and roots music and all the genres it’s had an impact on.”
