Blink 182 to headline Reading & Leeds Festivals 2014
Punk-pop legends Blink 182 are set to headline the 2014 edition of Reading and Leeds Festivals.
Blink 182 will be returning to the festivals for the fourth time and their headline appearance will be their only UK show in 2014.
They first played Reading and Leeds Festivals in 1999 and headlined eleven years later in 2010.
Blink 182 bassist, Mark Hoppus, commented: “I’m stoked to play Reading & Leeds 2014. It’s our fourth time playing the festivals, and we’re very honoured.
“The new year will see us in the studio preparing new music, getting ready to rock the fine people of the UK. Prepare for the fury.”
The band are due to release their seventh studio album next summer and will be giving it its debut airing at the festivals.
Also confirmed for the festivals are Jake Bugg, Disclosure, Metronomy, Of Mice & Men, Wilkinson and I Am Legion.
Reading and Leeds Festivals 2014 take place on August bank holiday weekend, 22-24 August, and tickets are on sale at 2013 prices until January.
