Legendary musician Billy Joel has announced his only UK performance for 2019.
His first date in the capital for three years, the piano man will take to the stage at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday 22 June 2019.
Earlier this year, in June 2018, Joel performed a UK date in Manchester at Old Trafford, as well as several dates in Ireland and continental Europe.
Having sold 150 million records over the past 25 years, scoring 33 consecutive Top 40 hits, Billy Joel is easily one of the most popular recording artists and entertainers in history.
Fans can expect to hear all his biggest hits from his thirteen studio albums and countless live releases, including She’s Always A Woman, Uptown Girl, Piano Man, Tell Her About It and many, many more.
In 1992, his hits ensured Joel was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, followed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
The New York State Of Mind singer has toured the globe many times since his career began in the 1970s, embarking on runs with his own band, as well as co-headlining with other artists.
Since 1994, the iconic musician has performed numerous double-header shows with fellow legend Elton John known as The Face to Face tours. During these concerts, both men played their own songs and each other’s material, with some duets included. The tours remain the most successful dual tour in history.
From January 2014 onwards, Billy Joel has been contracted to play one concert per month at New York’s legendary Madison Square Garden.
Billy Joel will now return to the UK in June 2019 for one night only.
