Following a successful first event in Cuba, Ben Folds has announced he is hosting a second exclusive getaway this summer, this time taking to rural Scotland.
Ben Folds’ Scotland Getaway will see fans join Ben at the stunning Atholl Palace Hotel, Pitlochry this July for four days of music, photography and adventure.
Fans will get the chance to mingle with Ben, as well as being treated to two exclusive performances from the musician.
Alongside the performances, they’ll also be a whole range of activities on offer including performances by other Scottish bands, a meet and greet signing with Ben, music and photography workshops led by Ben, sightseeing tours, golf, white water rafting, canyoning, gorge walking, distillery tours and loads more.
Guests will be staying at the luxurious Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry, which is situated a 90-minute drive away from both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Pitlochry is a small picturesque town known for its scenery, clear air, fine food and its artisan shopping.
Ben Folds first broke into the music industry as the frontman and principal songwriter of the indie rock group Ben Folds Five. Making their debut in the early ’90s, the band released three albums during their original run before disbanding in 2000. Ben Folds Five briefly reunited between 2011-2013, releasing their fourth album The Sound of the Life of the Mind to critical acclaim and commercial success.
Some of Ben Folds Five best-known tracks include The Luckiest, Brick, Army and Battle of Who Could Care Less.
After the breakup of Ben Folds Five, Ben Folds launched a successful solo career, releasing music across multiple genres. Ben has released a string of solo and collaborative albums over the past two decades, with his latest release So There seeing the musician collaborate with the Nashville Symphony orchestra.
Alongside music, Ben Folds is also a keen photographer and is a member of the prestigious Sony Artisans of Imagery. In 2017, he completed an assignment as a photo editor for National Geographic.
The multi-talented musician is also currently in the process of writing his first book, which is set to comprise essays and anecdotes about art, life and music.
