Bastille’s drummer to commentate on Plymouth Argyle game
Bastille’s Chris Wood is set to follow in the footsteps of John Motson and Alan Hansen when he takes to the mic this Saturday to commentate on a football game for the BBC.
The drummer will co-commentate on Plymouth Argyle’s League Two clash with Dagenham & Redbridge for BBC Radio Devon.
Wood is a lifelong Plymouth Argyle fan and will be joining BBC commentator Gordon Sparks at Victoria Road.
“Having grown up going to Argyle with my family since I was a young boy, I jumped at the chance to get involved with the team and the broadcasting legend that is Gordon Sparks,” said Wood.
“This will be a dream come true.”
Bastille are set to perform at tonight’s BRIT Awards, where they are up for best single, best British group, breakthrough artist and best album.
