The legendary singer comes to London this summer.
Barbra Streisand has been confirmed as the latest headliner for this year’s Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park 2019.
The iconic star will take to the stage at the central London park on Sunday 7 July 2019.
Born and raised in New York City, Barbra Streisand is the biggest selling female recording artist of all time and has been releasing music since the early ’60s.
The singer has released a staggering 36 studio albums throughout her six-decade career, alongside a phenomenal 117 singles.
Some of Streisand’s best-known hits include The Way We Were, Woman In Love, You Don’t Bring Me Flowers, Memory, No More Tears (Enough is Enough), Guilty, My Heart Belongs To Me and many more.
The singer released her latest studio album Walls in November 2018. The record peaked at No.6 in the Official UK Albums Chart, making it Streisand’s 15th UK top-10 album of her career.
Alongside her recording career, Barbra Streisand is also a distinguished and highly regarded actress and is the recipient of two Academy Awards. Streisand starred in the 1976 version of A Star is Born alongside Kris Kristofferson, winning an Oscar for Best Orginal Song for the track Evergreen, which was co-written by the star.
In 2018, a new version of A Star Is Born was released starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. Barbra Streisand has expressed her great admiration for the film.
Throughout her career, the superstar has received a multitude of awards including ten Grammys, five Emmys, nine Golden Globes and the Presidential Medal Of Freedom.
Barbra Streisand last performed in London in 2013, selling out two shows at The O2.
